WINTERGREEN COUCH

  • This is another fine leaf couch
  • Like all couch lawns the area needs to be in full sun.
  • Rich Bright Green Colour
  • Fine Textured Leaf Couch
  • Well wearing for Children and Animals
  • Found to be fairly tolerable to most diseases
  • If you live in a frost affected area, the Wintergreen Couch will brown off, but will recover by applying fertilizer and water
  • Ideal couch for Parks, Sports Fields, Road Verges, Footpaths, Dam Walls, Residential Yards
  • Ideal for budget lawns however if the area has more than 2 hours shade this grass will die off. Overall whole cost of life will be more expensive than a quality Palmetto or Empire Lawn as it will require more fertiliser, weed control and maintenance

BEST PERFORMING COUCH

Wintergreen couch is one of the more well-known of the couch
variety, for good reason. It has a bright mid green appearance
with a soft fine leaf texture, perfect for full sun areas. The root
structure of the Wintergreen Couch makes this more drought
tolerant than other couch varieties, and also provides the lawn
a higher wear tolerance once established. This variety of couch
is found to have a good resistance to disease, making this a
suitable grass for larger commercial areas.

BEST QUALITIES

Wintergreen couch can handle up to 20-30% shade each day and thrives in full sunlight. Generally,
through the winter months Wintergreen does not go dormant, which means it has an early start to
growth after winter and tends to retain its colour during this period of time. For best results, a fertiliser
application is recommended at the beginning of each new season, though it does require less fertiliser
than other varieties which helps the cost factor
